After watching the Abuja fans booed the super eagles specifically during the national anthem on Sunday before the qualifier against Mozambique, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has launched an attack at the fans saying the act was just not proper.

the former Eyinmba safehands in a chat with newsmen said, he could not reason why the angry fans could disrespect the country, especially on live television.

"They can boo the team, that's their right as fans and I will admit that we deserve it.

"But to boo your own country's national anthem is just, is just criminal," Enyeama exploded in anger.

"It is bad enough to do it in private, but to boo your country's anthem on live television, with the whole world watching, was a shock to me and the other players.

"All of us had our hands on our hearts when the anthem started, but it dropped when they started booing.

"To boo your national team players is one thing. But to boo your own national anthem is a disgrace and I think the people who did it should be ashamed of themselves and apologise to their fellow countrymen."
