Bayern Munich skipper Mark van Bommel has predicted that Barcelona stands a chance of winning the champions league trophy if only they can knock his team out in the quarter-finals.

The former Barca player will square off against some of his old friends from Barcelona when the two giants meet at the Camp Nou on Wednesday in the Champions League quater final match.

When asked about Bayern's chase for glory in the Bundesliga and particularly about the weekend's rude shock 5-1 loss at Wolfsburg, Van Bommel replied, 'We don't know what happened in that game, but we are all aware that we were terrible - our worst game of the season but we cannot lose our focus. We still have eight rounds to play and we must react.
