A 31 year-old Australian man, Chayne Hultgren known as The Sapce Cowboy has set a new World record after he swallowed 18 swords at the same time.

'The space cowboy' from Byron Bay on the NSW north coast area said he was thrilled to have made history by swallowing the 72cm the blades erasing the previous record of 17 swords also set by him in 2008.

"It's amazing," he said. "I've been preparing for this since I was 16."
